      3. Energy Consumption vs. Demand (We’ve got your back)

      The amount of energy (electricity) used by consumer (consumption) is measured in kilowatt-hours (kWh), where energy used over a certain period of time (demand) is the rate at which electricity is consumed, measured in kilowatts (kW).

      Example

       

       

      In this example the total energy consumption between 10AM to 6PM is 1.8kWh, At 12PM all 5 lights are turned on at the same time and the demand is 500W.
